Everything you need to know about your Think Bizzle and Smile Kit

What is the best teeth whitening kit for me?

The type of kit to get the best results for you depends on a few factors, the type of staining you have, the level of sensitivity you experience with hot and cold foods if any, and the level of whitening you want to achieve.

  • If you have deep yellowing of the teeth caused by antibiotics tetracycline or deep internal staining within the tooth surface,  we would recommend an overnight treatment using a 16% gel and custom made laboratory trays.
  • If you experience some sensitivity with hot and cold foods, or if you are new to teeth whitening and you are not sure which would be the best gel for you we would recommend our 22% teeth whitening kit. Our 22% gel will remove most surface stains and give your smile radiance.
  • If you have no sensitivity to hot and cold foods, and have no sensitivity to teeth whitening gels, we would recommend the 36% gel or our extreme  range, for  superior  results, not only does this gel remove intense surface staines, it removes the yellow discolouration on, and within the surface of the tooth. This gel is a great option for fast results, it is however recommended that this gel is used sparingly and inline with  the guidance provided.
  • If you simply do not wish to use peroxide at all due to sensitivity, or  if there are restrictions in your country, then you can select our peroxide free options

How does whitening work?

The whitening gels work when the active ingredient reacts and oxidation occurs, the oxygen molecules break down stains and tartar  and penetrates the surface of the tooth to breakdown internal stains which cause discolouration, leaving your teeth clean and white.

Do I need to use a light?

It is not necessary to use a LED for teeth whitening however this does accelerate the Overall time taken to whiten your teeth, a light can also improve the results, giving you that Hollywood white smile. We also recommend the use of the light to get those gleaming results.

Do I need to brush my teeth before I whiten them?

Teeth whitening gel works best on clean teeth, however using tooth paste actually creates a thin film on your teeth which may actually reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. Therefore we recommend you give your teeth a quick brush with cold water to remove any debris and to ensure they are clean, however, refrain from using tooth paste until after your treatment.

What will happen if i get the gel on my gums?

If the teeth whitening gel comes into contact with your gums or soft tissue, the gel should be removed immediately with a cotton swap. In all cases getting gel  on the gums should be avoided, we provide vitamin e swaps with some of our stronger gels to provide added protection, vitamin E oil can be used as a pretreatment  to protect the gums and lips as well as an after treatment should you accidentally get gel on your gums.

How long will it take until I see results?

Some of our customers see results after their first session, however typically, you should see a noticeable difference with 2 to 4 sessions.

How Long should I whitening for?

If it is your first teeth whitening procedure the recommended bleaching time is 15-30 minutes. 22% 36% and 44% gels can be used for 30 minutes up to twice a day or once a day not exceeding an hour. It is recommended that you continue this procedure for 20 sessions or until you have the desired results. At think Bizzle and Smile we like to whiten Monday to Friday, before bedtime to ensure minimal disruption, so relax, kick back, and get your whitening on!

How Long do the results last?

Well this depends on you and your life style, on average results last  12 months, depending on the foods you eat, and your recreational habits. If you need to top up on your treatment we sell refill gels, which means that you do not need to purchase a full kit.

Can anyone whiten their teeth?

We recommend that you are at least 18 years of age and that you have healthy teeth free from decay and cavities, if you have exposed nerves or roots, then this product is not for you. If you have receding gums or any type of gum disease this product is not suitable.  Pregnant women or breast feeding mothers should avoid whitening their teeth until the little bundle of joy is dependent on solid food only.
